100,000 square foot roof = $2 million in savings over 25 years

1.333 = production factor in Florida for example (if at 180 degree tilt)

1.333 x 700 kw = annual kWh (kilowatt-hour) produce in year = 933

A kilowatt hour is when you add in your supply delivery, taxes, conservatively worth $0.08 = 1 kWh

Supply rate on average = 5.5

Take $0.08 x 933 (annual kwH produced in a year)

= ~$70,000/year in savings

Which = $6,000/month in electricity savings

Solar Incentives Miami

Federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC): Allows businesses to claim a credit equal to 26% of the cost of their solar energy system.

Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program: Provides financing for energy-efficient improvements, including solar panels. Businesses can finance the cost of their solar panel installation through their property taxes, spreading the cost out over a period of up to 20 years.

Solar Energy System Incentives Program (SESIP): A grant program administered by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services that provides grants to businesses, non-profits, and local governments in the state to help offset the cost of installing solar panels. Grants are based on the size of the solar panel system and can be used to cover up to 50% of the cost of installation.

Net metering: Allows businesses to sell excess solar energy back to the grid, earning credits on their energy bills.

Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS): Requires utilities to generate a certain percentage of their electricity from renewable sources, including solar. This helps to create a market for solar energy in the state.

Sales tax exemption: Solar panel systems and solar water heaters are exempt from sales tax in Florida, which can help to reduce the cost of installation.

Property tax exemption: Solar panel systems are exempt from property taxes in Florida.
